Sean Black-Tiong
Dr Sean Black-Tiong is a specialist medical practitioner and started as Chief Medical Officer of Lift in 2023. He completed his medical and specialist training in South Australia. In addition to his work at Lift he is a board director for the Royal Australian College of General Practioners (RACGP).
During his specialist training he was awarded an RACGP Academic Post and completed a year with the University of Adelaide conducting research into trends of opioid prescribing for musculoskeletal pain which is published in an international medical journal. Following on from his academic post he was awarded an RACGP Foundation Research Grant. He is currently a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Adelaide and formally mentors medical students in their final year of studies.
Sean is passionate about the Lift values of accessibility, care, and empowerment. He believes that all people living with cancer should have access to Lift’s world-leading model of cancer care as part of their comprehensive, multidisciplinary management. He often speaks about the inspiring patients and staff at Lift and the positive impact they have on each other as well as himself.
