GAY REFELD: CLINICAL NURSE CONSULTANT – BREAST CARE I am a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Breast Care at St John of God Subiaco Hospital, Western Australia, commencing in 2012. Prior to this I was a Specialist Breast Care Nurse at the Breast Clinic, Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia where I completed my post graduate certificate as a Specialist Breast Care Nurse in 2002. Before my secondment to the Breast Clinic at Royal Perth Hospital I developed a special interest in breast cancer whilst working as a surgical oncology nurse. I have over 20 years experience as a Specialist Breast Care Nurse in the private and public health sector. My passion is to provide evidence based holistic care to patients and their significant others from diagnosis along the breast cancer trajectory which extends beyond the physical.
