Kim Edmunds

Dr Kim Edmunds is a Research Fellow in Health Economics at the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health, the University of Queensland, Brisbane. Her research interests centre on the economic evaluation of health care for chronic disease with a special interest in cancer and sustainable implementation of exercise medicine for value-based healthcare. Before joining the CBEH team at the University of Queensland, Kim worked as a Research Fellow within the Priority Research Centre for Prostate Cancer Survivorship at the Centre for Applied Health Economics at Griffith University where she completed her PhD investigating the cost-effectiveness of exercise medicine for prostate cancer. Prior to that she worked as a Health Research Economist at Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) NSW for six years, where she worked on projects at the local health district level as well as for state and federal government. Before commencing at HMRI, Kim spent over 20 years working in academic and teaching roles at the University of Newcastle and the University of Western Australia.
